Job is not that difficult. Difficulty is making sure that you get the correct gap. I measure the recommended gap by trying to pass a smaller and larger caliper gap than recommened.
I've done the adjustment two times and have to do so now that I've reached or passed the 10thou miles. Yet, you should also be retorqueing your bolts. I usually take the head off, scrape off the old gasket, replace the rubber plug or at least reapply hightemp engine gasket/silicon on the plug and cylinder head to prevent the oil leak. I change the stress washers on the bolts apply anti-seize on the bolts. Then retourque.
A flexible screw driver may be inorder as well as well as an offset box end wrench 12mm I think it is what you need. When you have the proper tools and supplies you should be able to do the job in 2-3 hours (2nd or 3rd time around). Just make sure you have a variety of wrenches, you keep the bolts in order and you'll be fine.
Good luck.
Tip when you replace the cylinder head make sure you try it without the new gasket so you get a feel of how to manuver the cyclinder head with the bolts back on the cylinder. There is one bolt that will stay with the cylinder head, unless you remove the engine from the frame.
